HARLOT
Mary caressed the photograph remembering their honeymoon in the
ancient capital of the Burgundy province of Dijon, France. The wonderful romantic strolls
through historic streets while planning their future.
"You said you'd always love, cherish, and adore only me,
but she entered your life, and I no
longer exist. Her emerald eyes, cherub cheeks, and that melt your heart smile.
"I've lost you my love, but I refuse to admit defeat, and I will never accept
this harlot.
"Despite your assurances
you'll always be mine, I hold no love for our daughter. She is the
ruination of my life."

Not a happy family then. :(
Dear Yolanda,
A dysfunctional family for sure.

What a selfish mother, I'm sorry for the daughter. Good story.
How sad. Great story!
That's one selfish mother, yes.
I agree, selfish mother.
So sad. I couldn't make a judgement. :-)
Oh man! Wow! What a crappy mother!
Wow, this family is creeping me out a bit! Great reveal at the end that the "other woman" is their daughter.
Holy crap - you knocked it out of the park! Great twist at the end. So clever! I'm very happy to have read this. :)
No maternal bonding then. Love the twist at the end.
Horrid woman. Jealous of her own daughter. Sadly this does happe for realz!
Fascinating piece, subject to multiple interpretations. Great job!
That's very sad, to lose all that one loves in one shot. - Just Joyfulness
So sad she turned out to his daughter. Maybe things will turn around for the family later. Very intriguing story, Yolanda. Nice one.
Oh dear. Something is very off in that family. I can think of at least two different ways it could be.
Thanks everyone, for stopping by and commenting. I couldn't post individual responses this time due to time, and because I wanted to post on every participants page = over 90 of those and that's a big, big job. But I appreciate you stopping and leaving a few words. This was meant to show that a mother - daughter relationship can go sour just moments after birth. A jealous wife feels slighted when she sees the love the father holds for his first child. Again, thank you for taking the time to read and comment - it means the world!
Now that's a twist. Totally unexpected, nicely done.
Wonder who is going to change the diapers?
So many ways to interpret this: Dad's a paedophile, Mum's a jealous bitch, Daughter is manipulative, &c. Good piece.
Good but sad story of a troubled woman. She needs professional help and quickly. She's really confused. It's a shame this sometimes happens. Well done, Yolanda. ------ Suzanne
Good story but I feel for the daughter. Not nice being blamed for the breakup of the marriage. They all need help. Fancy calling your daughter a harlot.
