I was given The Versatile Blogger Award
by Dee Dee back on July 2. But I was in the midst of edits for Murder &
Obsession, so I had to delay my thank you post and passing it forward. Dee Dee writes the blog Rantzz of a Drama Queen.
Dee Dee tells me The Versatile Blogger award is given in recognition for great commitment, diverse
talents, and generosity shown by a blogger. It's a great motivation and
celebration of their work in the Blogosphere.
I'm thrilled
to receive the award! I've been blogging since 2008 and while it only shows a few blog
posts I had over 400. But after a glitch while reformatting there was a few problems with blogger and I lost
almost all of them.

Here are 7 facts
about me:
1.
I am in the middle of painting my 'new'
laundry room. 3 years after a fire destroyed my basement laundry room, it's finally been moved to the first floor! Yay!
2.
My husband says I'm funny, headstrong, and
competitive. I figure he should know.
3.
I don't own a cell phone – really hate
telephones in general—I do not like phone conversations. IM's are fine though –
when chat rooms first appeared I was hooked. Now I wouldn't even know where to
find a decent chat.
4.
I graduated with the highest honors from
graduate school while working full time as Finance Director and still hope to
get my doctorate.
5.
I have a younger brother that I haven't seen
nor spoken to in 35 years. You might have noticed that family isn't part of my FB page – they keep rejecting my friend requests.
6.
Josh Groban's songs especially from his album
The Closer were the influence for the love story in my Murder Trilogy
7.
When hot pants were in style – I rocked the
look! J.

Congrats for the award, Thanks for tagging me.
New laundry room, congrats for that too
I don't own a cell phone (really *Respects*)
Finance Director (SO cool)
Not spoken o your brother for 35 years, OMG Thats so sad
Hey Dee Dee, that was fast. Thanks for awarding me!
The laundry room is way cool! And it's awesome to meet a fellow non-phone owner! :)
Love my job but enjoy writing more!
As for my brother, I still don't know what happened - he won't talk to me??????
Hi Yolanda. Thanks for tagging me. I'll post mine and let you know when I post. I don't know how anyone can exist without a mobile phone.
Wow, not owning a cellphone is sure rare these days.
Hey Denise, wonderful - I do just fine and honestly can't see the fascination with them. Talk about a ball and chain. :) Just not my thing.
Hey Pat, just a pet peeve, everywhere you go - even in my own house, with my sons - they are looking at the screen, playing games, etc. Even while watching a show on the TV...
But I've always been a bit odd! :)
Congratulations on the award! I don't own a cellphone either. I hate talking on the phone. Why would I want to take one with me when I leave the house? Yes, I even still have a landline. It's not a rotary phone though. ;)
Congratulations on the award! The badge is pretty. :) I sort of don't own a phone and by that I mean I have a cheap phone with no camera capabilities and no Wifi. I can barely text on it. I hate the thing and hardly use it. lol I'm like Christine. I hate talking on the phone. But I do have a landline.

Hey Chrys, it's so awesome to meet other folks not tied to a phone. I have a land line too, and it only rings when a telemarketer is calling, but the number pops up, so I don't have to answer.
Christine, I'm thrilled to meet someone else who doesn't own a cellphone, and hates talking on them too! Gosh, I thought I was the only one in the world. I do have a landline, but not a rotary. Although I think if I looked in the garage I could find one. :)
Yay for awards! You're way faster than I am at accepting and passing them on.
Three years? Okay, it would probably take me five. Don't you hate projects that hang over your head for forever?
Hi Crystal, If I could have put the floor in myself I would have, but I had to wait on my son who has the talent with the big tools. I can use a table saw, but don't have the upper body strength for lifting, and a few other details that builders do. But all the more appreciated!
Hey Yolanda,
Hearty and most awesome of congrats for getting that award! Thanks for including me in that list of some of the world's most notable bloggers. How you could include me amongst them is flattering beyond any reasonable adjective! Sometime within the next ten years or so, I shall post up the award on my evidently well kept secret blog.
Now, go get your hot pants and party on, chick! :)
Thanks, Yolanda.
Gary :)
Hey Girl. Thanks bunches. I've been offline all day and this was a fun award to find. Thanks for thinking of me. As tor your family, they are missing out on knowing person. Sorry to say, they sound like wankers.
I have a cell phone but hate actually talking on it. I love texting, messaging, etc. I just hate talking on any phone.
Interesting to learn about the inspiration for your trilogy! Now I want to listen to that song. You made me laugh about the hot pants - I've no doubt you did rock them. :D
And just have to say I agree with Happy Whisk, it seems to me your family is missing out and it's their loss.
You never fail to me me smile. Thanks Gary, I await your response whenever that may be!
There is nothing 'secret' about your blog. Sending warm wishes and lots of hugs!
What a blessing, a day offline! Hi Ivy, you're so welcome, and no worries, some families are like that.
I applaud your skills for texting, I've never done it. Please listen to his music, especially "When You Say The Words" and "My Confession." They are truly lovely. I hold no grudges, dysfunctional parents leave many a victim in their wake.
Yay for the new laundry room! :-)
The fire was 3 years ago? Doesn't seem that long. I've joined a sort of chat room at GoodReads; I read some posts but have made only one comment there. I'm soo bad. I prefer blogs and email for chats. Or texting, lol. Hot pants were so cool!!
Thanks for the award. I'll get it up soon, I have another award also to post. I always forget these things.
Good luck with WEP.
Hi Donna, thanks for taking a break from your writing to accept the award. Hope it's going well for you! Hot pants - I think it was the only time in my life I was in style, LOL! Silly things. I usually put the award posts off too, I had a few that I set aside in a file, planning to post the thanks and answers as soon as time allowed, last year, and then lost them when my computer burped. So this time, I wanted to get it done right away. I do appreciate them, and they're loads of fun.
Hi Hot Pants! So, fun to learn more about you~ Gosh, I remember your photo of your laundry room~
It was crazy, scary and made me go clean the lint behind mine-yikes!
Thank you, for the nod! I will find a way to share it and mention you~ You are sweet and sassy!
