Sturgeon Moon

Yolanda Renée Stout © 2023

MY LOVE

You're just like the moon
one night full of desire
giving everything
asking nothing
fully open.

But quickly disappearing
dark, foreboding
no word
no light
no love.

Appearing in phases
giving just a little
just enough
making desire stronger
my weakness full.

Then once again you appear
in full glory
and I surrender
completely lost
in your light.

I think many of us have known loves like that. Sigh.

Others have better pictures of the moon, but this isn't bad for a phone. Hi Hilary!

Hi, Denise, thanks for stopping by. I saw this in my emails but couldn't find it here, except that it was listed under comments. So I copied it and pasted it here. Odd, but blogger is just that these days. ODD!
