TOP TEN HIGHLIGHTS OF MY LIFE!
2. The day I stepped off a plane in Fairbanks, Alaska. I'd finally found a home.
3. My first apartment and the purchase of my first car. After I found my first job in Alaska as a payroll clerk. I bought a used car and found a great apartment. Finally, total independence. It was the best of times!
4. My first view of the aurora borealis. I would lie on my bed and watch them dance across the sky. So beautiful!
5. Falling in love for the first time. It was everything every romance book ever said it would be. But alas, it wasn't meant to be. Unrequited is not one of my favorite words
6. The birth of my two sons. The very best of my creative abilities! Handsome, smart, and independent! I'm very proud of them.
7 Graduating with High Honors and achieving my master's degree. Another goal marked done, but I still want my Ph.D.! I hoped my writing would fund that, but...
8. The publication of my first novel. One of those naïve, impulsive, and totally in the dark experiences. Now I know everything I did wrong, but that day, that moment will always be special.
9. Doing a Blog-Talk Radio Show. Getting out of my comfort zone to create the first book talk radio program. It was a blast, and I miss doing it.
10. Buying a condo on the beach. I feel blessed to be able to isolate here.
Tell me a highlight or two of your life.

Your highlights sound pretty special.
My trip to Antartica is high on my list. I had dreamt of it for years and it lived up to my expectations (and then some). I would love to see Alaska too.
Congrats on your book. My highlights are meeting my late husband in India and my daughter who we adopted in China.
Already visited Jemi today.
We might be naive for that first book, but it will always be special.
One of my highlights was living in London for a short while.
A PhD? Wow!
Spending my 50th birthday running around Universal Studios like a kid was a big highlight for me.
Amazing highlights. One of my highlights would have to be the first time I flew in a helicopter. Feel in love with it and will fly in almost anything now.
Yolanda, congrats on your latest book. It's a great read!
I can only imagine your trip to Antarctica, how exciting! I hope you get to see Alaska, especially during the summer! Thanks, Sue!
Thanks, Natalie! Those are very special highlights. Congratulations!
Thanks, for visiting Jemi, and, me both time today. I'd love to live in London, I want to visit all the murderous suberbs! LOL
Hi, Diane! A 50th birthday at universal Studios would be a wonderful time! I love learning, what can I say. :)
The first time I flew in a helicopter was in Alaska. For a tour of the pipeline in the Brooks Range. It was amazing. The pilot even took us to an old gold mining town and we had coffee with one of the miners in his cabin. It was magic! But, now, I hate to fly. A helicopter, I'd do on a dime, but the planes. Too crowded and claustrophobic!
Thanks again, Mason. Only a few more days! LOL
Hi Renee - interesting list of things ... and well done you on all of them. For me getting up and going off to Africa was a highlight ... I never went on down under, which I'd intended to do. I'd have loved to have gone to Alaska ... but my eyes have been opened to parts of the world many haven't been - Eastern Europe in those days ... Munich Olympics - lucky me ... if there's an opportunity I'm usually off ... probably a good thing I'm not tied to a job: find another on the return. Oh yes ... couldn't leave Vancouver Island without a float-plane trip ... well you've brought a few things to mind! Take care and enjoy your ocean seafront ... Hilary
Thanks, Hilary! I admire your travel adventures. I am in awe! I wish I had done the same!
