COMMITMENT

There's one sad truth in life I've found

While journeying east and west -

The only folks we really wound

Are those we love the best.

We flatter those we scarcely kn
ow,

We please the fleeting guest,

And deal full many a thoughtless blow

To those who love us best.

~Ella Wheeler Wilcox~

This blog is in honor of my two sons who remind me daily the true meaning of love and the commitment I made when they came into my life.

I love poems that speak to feeling you didn't know you had and it's a wonderful tribute to your boys. Congrats and the fun begins!

That is a great poem - and sadly so true!!

I'm sure your sons will always look back on this and smile :)

PS: I'd be more than happy to share some thoughts on my memoir journey... whenever you have the chance, just shoot me an email to mark.koopmans@yahoo.com
