Question - What are five objects we'd find in your writing space?
As I write I’m surrounded by books. I have a comfortable chair, the view or at the least the sound of the waves, a bottle of water, my laptop of course, and my cell phone.
An Update
This year I took the challenge offered by the National Novel Writing Month with the hope of finishing the 5th book in the Detective Quaid Series, MURDER, JUST BECAUSE. I did it, with time to spare, but when I reached 50,000, I was burned out. I had to walk away for a few days.
Thank goodness I finished right before Thanksgiving, so what better way to recoup than to concentrate on the holiday, family, and shopping. There's still, a long road ahead, but thanks to NANO I'm a lot closer than I was.

I've begun that process this month. At first, because of the burnout, I didn't think I would, but now I'm proceeding. Ready, willing, and able to turn all these words into a book.
Don't forget this month also brings a new

Hiya Renee! So glad you've finished MJB. Be happy to read it when your edits are done! And thanks for signing up for WEP. I wasn't expecting that, but I'm so pleased!
Great that you got there indeed. Enjoying the waves isn't a bad way to be while writing.
Congratulations! I just used NaNo to spur me to write but I wish I had set the goal and written twice as much.
Congratulations on finishing NaNo! That's wonderful. And I'm so jealous that you have the sound of the waves so close to you. I try using apps with ocean sounds but nothing compares to the real thing.
Have a wonderful holiday!
Congrats on finishing your first draft with NaNo and being done before the holidays. Glad you took a break too so you can revise with fresh eyes.
Congrats! Finishing before Thanksgiving was perfect timing.
Hi Renee!
YAY, YOU!!!! I wish I had your determination... I would've finished my memoir by now. Inching along, but I need to put a fire under it. It has to be ready in a few weeks so I can send it out to critters. Let me know if you have the time to read a fun story! Still working on the first draft. But I already had the first 2/3 edited. 1/3 to go. Hope all is well!
Way to go, making use of NaNo! I did the same, and it did get me most of the way to a draft (and past 50K), but there's more to be done before I let it sit and stew (I like to leave a book for at least a couple of months before I begin revisions). I'm not burned out, but I'm tired, and it's not easy to go back to the MS at this point, though I've managed to do a little every day since Dec. 1.
Congratulations on finishing NaNo! That's a huge accomplishment. Wishing you happy writing in December--well, happy editing.
Congrats on finishing happy holidays as well. ;-)

Yay to completing the NANO! You deserve a break and a wonderful holiday.
Congrats on winning NaNo! I have no doubt you needed time to recover after that. Enjoy the holidays, the peace, and may the editing go smoothly!
I can see why you'd need a break. Heck, you deserve one. And if you already feel like editing, so much the better. Congratulations on winning NaNo.
Three cheers for you!!! I'm so proud of you. But... um... howcum there's a trashcan next to my name on the linky list...? You guys trashing my corny story before it even gets posted? HA! :)
I surprised myself. I'm thrilled the muse came through.
Nope, not bad at all. Very inspirational!
I love the trackers they provide. It does help to spur you to action. I'm using a new one this month for the edits.
You too, Julie. December is the best month of the year!
Taking another break to get caught up on the blog comments. It definitely helps rest the muse!
Thanks, Diane. It was the goal!
Hi, Michael. Sometimes inching a long is good. But now that you're back in Florida, you'll finish. I've no doubt!
Stepping away is a good thing. It clears the cobwebs and all those dusty plots out! Makes it easier to finish.
You too, Rhonda. Goal is to finish by the 1st now.
Thanks, emaginette! Wishing you the same!
Thanks, Lee. It's going to be a good one. This book is almost finished.
Recovered and moving on. this book will be finish by the 1st. Love this season!
Happy holidays, to you!
Thanks, Ken. Edits are going well.
LOL, that trash can is only visible to you. Allows you to delete the entry, if you wish. Would never do that, trash your story. You're a remarkable writer! Can't wait to read your entry!
I saw the trash can too, and thought it was for if I wanted to take my story down, but I don't! Come on Yolanda, I want to read yours! Yay you for completing NaNoWriMo! I always try and get at least the bulk done before Thanksgiving because I don't want to feel bad if I can't write during the holiday.
Just for you, it's posted. Thanks, Lisa!
