The Daffodil
so beautiful
the first of spring
it means everything
to all arising
the ruin of winter
a bright new dawn
the seeds of tomorrow
awaiting root
passion ignited
love blooms
seeds rooted
the cold booted
beauty and growth
in God's green Earth
birth
death
and all that's between
like the Daffodil
it all began
in the spring.

Ah spring. Can only dream as I go between pool to airconditioned room to airconditioned car sweltering away, then cheering myself up watching the snow create havoc on Northern Hemp roads. What a contrast!
Sunshine on stalks. And always a mood lifter...
Lovely to see a bit of spring! We are in a deep-freeze this week, so it'll be awhile...Your hopeful poem is definitely a spirit-lifter!
The daffodil the springer of longer days and yellow sunshine ... lovely poem - ours are appearing too ... as well as little snowdrops ... brilliant to see their white flowers complement the larger daffodils ... the sun and the early bulbs - so wonderful to see - cheers Hilary
I'm dreaming of spring. It's only 7 degrees out right now.
No daffodils here, just ice and cold. But thanks for the reminder that it's not too far away.
I haven't seen any flowering but the plants are coming up.
Mine should be blooming by March.
Nope. Not too early. I always have an adventurous one or two pop their little stems up through the snow and ice. They must be eager too!
I'm a bit early, but it's my favorite season, just hoping it comes early!
I'll say. Yellow, my favorite color, is spring! Sending love, hugs, and a bouquet of spring flowers.
Hope springs eternal! I'm tired of winter. LOL
Yellow flowers always brighten my day!
That's way too cold. Hoping spring comes early for you!
Hope spring comes early for you too!
They'll arrive soon! :)
That's not too far away.
Love when you can see the early sprouts, makes life so beautiful!
It's never too early for daffodils. They mean we've survived another winter.
