Question - It’s spring! Does this season inspire you to write more than others, or not?
Right now, I’m struggling to get into writing mode. Spring fever has hit, and I find my attention is diverted. To be honest when the muse is in ‘go mode’ nothing, no season can stop the creative process. As a rule though, spring is the one season where diversion is the rule.
Who can resist coming out from the huddled cold of winter to the colors and warmth of spring and try to work off some of that winter blubber by getting the ass in gear, the hiking boots on, and the picnic basket filled with wine and cheese?
Or a walk on the beach barefoot?
Just beware the wildlife!
Happy Spring Everyone!

Ha, yeah; coming out of hibernation into fresh air. Me too.
The snow being gone sure is a win. But yeah, watch out for the wildlife and what it leaves behind, especially when walking barefoot haha
Who can resist the demands of spring yard work? Wish I could.
I agree with you and Alex. My veggie garden and flower beds are screaming for attention.
It's just too tempting! Thanks, Dolorah.
LOL, Pat. That's so true.
Enjoy it, Alex, they say it's good for the heart!
Attention you love giving, I'm sure. Have fun!
Have fun stretching after winter :-)

My yard needs my attention too! Congratulations on the release of Tick Tock! :) It's an awesome collection.
Everything is planted so I have to get out and water and stuff.
Walking on the beach sounds wonderful ... but I do need to trim bushes and hack back the overgrown rain-forest outside.
My attention had been diverted, too. I've been doing projects around the house and planning marketing efforts, not writing. But hoping my writing season is coming. I hope yours is, too. :)
Hi Yolanda ... settling down and enjoying a new life makes for fun and challenges - enjoy - your writing muse is there and will always return. Take care enjoying Spring at the same time - cheers Hilary
Our beaches are still too cold for barefoot walks, but the sun beckons me outdoors. Unfortunately, that's where the weeds are waiting. Wishing you good writing juju in May.
Happy Spring! I'm as distracted as you are. :-)

I must be slow to wake up from my winter hibernation. Spring doesn't do it for me. Give me autumn 4 times a year, and I'd be happy. Good writing to you, Renee.
I have the same problem with spring- all but the walk on the beach...sadly, I don't have that distraction!
I don't have a beach to walk on but I'm enjoying the green grass and warm weather.
Walking along the beach barefoot. What could be more inspiring? Do as much as you can, Renee. And I'm loving autumn down here. Finally, some cooler weather. Not that the weather has anything to do with my writing. I write 12 months of the year.
I wish I could walk in the sand still. I miss those days. I love the ocean. Sounds heavenly. I have always favored the fall although seasons do not influence my writing except in my imagination.
I'm glad the weather has finally gotten nice enough for you to enjoy your new digs. I agree with you 100% about the subversive distractions of spring, but I probably wouldn't ever write if I lived on the beach... no matter what time of year it was. Who can write when those endless waves keep rolling in? Forget it. The muse might try knocking, but I'd ignore her. :)
Enjoy the lovely weather. It's too hot here to be out and about, BUT I do LOVE the light and my fingers are busy, busy, busy typing away at MOMMY KAY... SO much to write about. Fitting it all into context is the challenge for me. LOL
Starting to get a little too warm here. Wish we could stay in the 70s. What is that on the beach with the long tail?
