Although I'm an avid reader, I have never read Harry Potter, the Hunger Games, the Twilight series, or 50 Shades of Grey. However, if I come across any of them at a garage sale, that could change.
I hate talking on the phone, and I hate the sound of a phone ringing as much as the alarm clock (which I don't own). Instead, I love writing letters and email.
I love working with numbers. I worked as an accountant or finance director for many years. My first job at fifteen was selling popcorn and tickets at a movie theater. I've also been a waitress, a receptionist, and an instructor at a business school, but I've always dreamed of being a history professor.
I long for the day when food and sleep are no longer necessary because I'm an insomniac with a food addiction and multiple food allergies. I'm allergic to alcohol, ice cream, eggs/chicken, soy, wheat, carrots, and fish, and that's the shortlist.
I once lived in Pittsburgh, PA, and worked as a receptionist in a steel mill in WV. During my commute, I would drag race other drivers on Route #22. I never received a ticket, but I was asked out on a date by one of my opponents.
The one author I identify most strongly with is
Margaret Mitchell, but in no way, shape or form am I comparing my work to hers.
Today I am proud to say I've written over 10 books to her one. Although her one
– is a literary marvel—my 10 just a lot of fun!
If you have any questions about me or my writing, please send me an email to yolandarenee@hotmail.com.
I would love to hear from you.

ReplyDeleteHi Yolanda!
Great to get to know you a little better from this interview!
Best wishes & hugs,
Anna
Anna, Thank your for stopping by and leaving me a comment. So sorry it took me so long to get here!
DeleteI'm looking forward to reading your books. I don't have a spirit of adventure so I enjoy reading what adventurous spirits have written and will share. For me, a new subject to research is very exciting so I guess I have a literary spirit of adventure--maybe?
ReplyDeleteThank you Linda, for stopping by. I do hope we share more of each other via the written word, your poems are lovely!
DeleteIt is so much fun to "meet" so many others that prior to stepping out and writing my own eBook I'd have never met. Thank you for the advice in your Blog and for being a part of M.Pax's 2015 Joust. I'm terribly humbled by those who I find myself surrounded by in the Joust. -B. Duane Smith (Dubhglas the Bruce)
ReplyDeleteHello, I checked out your site earlier, but couldn't figure out how to comment. Then I ran into the same thing on another site, and realized that if you click on the blog title the comment section will show up. When I leave here, I come by and say hello. It was nice to be paired with you today for The Joust. Such fun!
