What I'm offering:

I combine a developmental edit with a content edit to give you a complete written evaluation of your short story, novella, or novel.

Are you having trouble with your plot or creating believable characters? Have a great beginning and an incredible end but keep getting stuck in the middle? Need more conflict but don't know where to add it. I'm here to help.

I will provide an in-depth review of your writing. It'll be focused on improving the content and structure of your short story, novella, novel, or nonfiction book. My primary goal is to help a book have a clear focus. And ensure that the elements, such as tone and style, plot lines, character development, and red herrings, all make sense.

I will compose an editorial letter that takes in the entire perspective of the writing and recommends keeping the piece focused. I will address the following issues:

·        Character development

·        Dialogue

·        Tone or style

·        Sentence phrasing

·        Pacing concerns

·        Setting issues

·        Plot holes

A Line Edit is available using 'Track Changes' for another fee, but ALL FEES NEGOTIABLE!

This is not a complete copyedit or proofread regarding grammar.

But any issues found will be pointed out.

The price is ONLY $.01 / word

You can order a Developmental Edit-analysis in Report format
at $.005 per word
 or
Line by Line Edit with suggestions on the side using Track Changes at $.006 per word

or the Full Works at $.01

100,000 words at $.005 = $500
100,000 words at $.006 = $600
100,000 words at $.01 = $1,000
(100,000 is used as an example. Any word count will work)

And that goes for any writing format
flash fiction
short story
novella
novel

Robert Perreault wrote this regarding the Developmental Edit of his novel Robber's Row:

Renee is a fantastic editor. In addition to her insightful developmental edits, opinions, and ideas, she also provides helpful editorial edits as well. She does make me rewrite :>) but it's worth it. The finished product will be so much better because of her.

Robert Perreault wrote this regarding the Developmental Edit of his novel Spanish Wells:

Renee is a force to be reckoned with! It was my first time working with her and will certainly not be my last. In addition to insightful developmental edits and ideas, she included some helpful line edits as well. To top it all off, delivery came early (I won't expect that in the future of course). I think I just found myself a hidden gem!

I'VE ALWAYS LOVED TREES

Photo by Wesley Tingey on Unsplash

 I’VE ALWAYS LOVED TREES

So beautiful as they sway in the breeze

like skeleton hands

using the language of the deaf

reminds me of Jeff

the man hung until his death

it wasn’t quick

but mr slick

got what he deserved

outmaneuvered by women

his skin, now thin like linen

those he denigrated in life

he couldn’t fight in death

on Halloween night

at 12:01 AM

the souls he stole

made quick work of that fool.

Muhahahaha!

O YE OF LITTLE FAITH

Photo by Abdu Rahman on Unsplash

O Ye of Little Faith

You call us cute

but we stay mute

we’re more than you imagine

spells we cast with abandon

don’t cross our path

or ill will you’ll have

all your days through

she might be the witch

but we’re the true bitch

so don’t dimiss

for I’ll get my wish

death won’t be sweet

as daily you’ll repeat

the disaster we fashion

for Halloween is our passion!

Muhahahahaha!

UNBURIED

UNBURIED

The nights are chill

the days, hotter than hell

my bones ache

all due to a pesky snake

and the soil is never dry

at least there are no more flies

but the comfort of a grave

it’s all so depraved

to be unburied

but it’s definitely better than being married!

Muhahahahaha!

SWIPE RIGHT

SWIPE RIGHT

It was a Halloween dating site

when handsome, despite the mask

caught my attention

foregoing all inhibition

he was the one

our first night would be nothing but fun

I was right

it was a Halloween to remember

Mr. Handsome, so easy to dismember

and dinner for all my guests

just so delicious

and oh-so-nutritious.

Muahahaha!

SEANCE

SEANCE

Candlelight flickers

a few novices snicker

flowers offer comfort

a reminder of summer

the medium enters

takes a seat at the center

no smile is offered

even after mine is proffered

Halloween she says

a night of spirit play

will their presence

be an answer to prayer

or will you all become

their prey.

Muahahaha!

AN ANGEL

Photo by Nico Frey on Unsplash

AN ANGEL

I know an angel

of earthly fame

many seek her confidence

life is tough

living can become rough

this angel understands

many lose hope

but her light's bright

her words pure

this angel

with a heart so true

offers love and advice

recognized truth

means sorrow

disappears

promise returns

her magic works

happy folks

all recognize

her blessing

God's messenger of love

the restorer

of damaged souls

this holy vessel of perfection

but she knows sorrow

and immense pain

more profound than most

suffering despite

her heavenly calling

her beauty shines from within

and still

she gives all

despite her grief

this spiritual being

a guardian angel

of hope.
