A WITCHES WRATH
Mirabella's anger grew and the clouds darkened,
swirling winds caused the waves to surge and roil.
Lightening ripped the sky open, and thunder shattered eardrums. Mirabella watched
the ships struggling to port.
Waves overwhelmed most, but the yacht Abandon still floated. How apropos, she thought, abandon me to sail into your new life
with my sister. "Not today," she roared!
Finally, the Abandon disappeared under a monstrous
wave, Mirabella smiled. Vengeance is so
sweet, she thought.
Nevertheless, the winds grew. A Hurricane formed. The
gates to hell opened and Mirabella knew the indisputable power of wrath and her
sister Isabella.

Ok so that was awesome! :). Love how you built it up.
ReplyDeleteThanks Tammy! I think there's a Hurricane on the way now - there's an angry witch somewhere.
DeleteWar of the witches, and so much collateral damage. Great story!
ReplyDeleteEvil never care about collateral damage. Thanks Alistair!
DeleteObviously her sister was more powerful than estimated.
ReplyDeleteStill water does run deep - sometimes, so does evil. Thanks Alex.
DeleteThat one was awesome! I didn't expect that ending, and I love it when I'm surprised. I can't believe such a great creepy tale can be told in just 100 words! You rock, Yolanda!
ReplyDeleteThanks Lexa, I keep trying. This month lets hope there are more - lots more! It's Halloween!
DeleteYou set up a wonderful haunting and eerie scene! I love how Mirabella's jealousy sought revenge against her sister. (It makes for a great story)! Wonderful story Yolanda! Thank you so much for participating in FFfAW Challenge!
ReplyDeleteHi PJ, it's Halloween, time for the spooky! Love the prompt!
DeleteNever tick off a witch or to Hades she will send you
ReplyDeleteYeah, and you know how they hate fire! :) Thanks Pat!
DeleteLook out Mirabella!
ReplyDeleteToo late! LOL, Hi Deborah!
DeleteNever, never, never tick off a witch. Or name a hurricane after one...
ReplyDeleteGreat stuff, as always. Can't wait to see how you up the scare factor for Halloween.
Hi Susan, good advice! I've some amazing guests who will do just that! It'll be fun all month!
DeleteThat blog hop thing will be interesting. Lots of very good authors involved. Some days, I'd love to be a witch and take out my frustrations supernaturally, lol. Well done.
ReplyDeleteI am intending to join WEP this time. You know me and intentions :)
Hi Donna,
DeleteYou and me both! I'd have a blast!
Looking forward to seeing your post - always amazing!
Yikes.
ReplyDeleteExactly!
DeleteMirabella's in for it, now! There's nothing like a witch's wrath. ☺ This would be great on film.
ReplyDeleteHi Debbie, if only I could write for the screen! Did try my hand at screen writing. Whole other beast, but fun, even got some good feedback. Maybe down the road!
DeleteI'm looking forward to reading everyone's entries! Nothing like the strength of a hurricane to use for revenge.
ReplyDeleteThanks Shannon, and with a real hurricane on the way, it seemed apropos!
DeleteGood One, Yolanda!!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Cathrina!
